Land of Convenience

I'm quickly learning that you can literally live in Silicon Valley without ever having to leave your house.  There is a delivery service for EVERYTHING!  This is going to be especially helpful for us since we don't have a car yet to haul home tons of household stuff (although i guess there's always Uber for that...)

Here are a few I've come across this week.

Instacart
Grocery (and other goods) delivery service in as little as 1 hour. They connect you with personal shoppers in your area who pick up and deliver items from your favorite local stores.  No more hauling home huge bags of kitty litter...

Same day delivery from almost 30 different stores.  I need a vacuum cleaner RIGHT NOW!  hahahah

Get same-day delivery for basically anything.  What I love here is they also deliver from some local specialty shops, for example San Francisco Fish Company and La Fromagerie Cheese Shop for when we're craving some good French cheeses...

Amazon Dash
Too lazy to go online for your shopping?  No problem!  When you're running low, just push a button and your favorite groceries, household and pet supplies are instantly ordered!

Door Dash
When you want a warm meal pronto.  There's 161 restaurants that deliver within 1 hour in Mountain View.

MiniBar
When you're having a party and you're running out of beer. Delivers wine, beer and spirits to your door in 30-60 minutes.

Iberico Club
This is the icing on the cake! For the Jamon Iberico addicts like me, sign up for a regular dose of pata negra and other artisanal delicacies from Spain, delivered to your doorstep.  They've partnered with 300 COVAP Spanish farmers to ensure high quality and traceability.  You can take the girl out of Spain, but you can't take the Spain out of the girl!

Oh, and in case your pet is stressed and needs some acupuncture, there's the local animal acupuncturist down the road...

After four years of doing all our grocery shopping with backpacks on bicycles, sometimes in the rain, I think we're definitely ready for some good ol' American convenience!
